Mallacoota Threatened By Fire.

Date: Mon, 30 Dec 2019 18:30:00 +1100 Bushfire threatens the coastal holiday town of Mallacoota.

Mallacoota residents have begun to seek shelter. Residents in thre fringes were gathering in town near the caravan park close and boat ramp.

• Hot, dry iwindy conditions continued in Victoria fanning fires throughout the state.
• More fires were created by dry lightning strikes. One of them started between Cann River and Mallacoota
• A VIC Emergency warning was relased for the people of Mallacoota around 18:30. The warning stated that the road to Mallacoota was closed and the Princes Highway was closed between Cann River and Genoa. Residents were advised that it was too late to leave and that they should seek shelter immediately
